TWITTER: Just Tweet It...

 

Twitter is a microblogging platform just like Instagram and co but while twitter is slightly different from most of the rest microblogging platforms is because it's limited or strict about use of words which doesn't exceed 280 characters per tweet though it was 140 characters per tweet before it was changed in Year 2017. 

Twitter was founded March 21, 2006, San Francisco, California, United States of America by Jack Dorsey, Biz Stone, Evan Williams & Noah Glass.

The current CEO: Parag Agrawal assumed the position November 29, 2021 when the former CEO: Jack Dorsey step-down to focus on bitcoin (cryptocurrency) or blockchain technology (decentralised Web3.0) advocate or development.

Hence, around April, 2022, Elon Reeve Musk popularly known as Elon Musk, The Founder, CEO & Chief Engineer of SpaceX and also The CEO of Tesla, Inc. decided to acquire the ownership of twitter and which he successfully purchased it at a whooping amount of US$44 billion. They're several speculations about Elon Musk sudden purchases of twitter which is mainly Decentralisation (that's Freedom of Speech) of the twitter platform and which most people are happy about it though. Even Elon Musk says in of his tweet below:






I will like to begin my twitter journey and reflection by stating when I joined twitter, I created my twitter account October, 2013 with twitter handle (@Fuwaabdsalam) but as time goes I discovered the brand name Mo Fuwa, so I changed my twitter handle to (Mo__Fuwa) to fit the brand name I'm building for myself. Seriously I'm a kind of Facebook-er before I discovered twitter and ever since then I'm a Tweep 😋😁
There's no boring moment on twitter if you know your way around it trust me because it's full of different people with different opinions and like that you'll sure learn and get entertained at the sometime. They're various tools on twitter such as hashtag, Follow, threads, Mention, Likes, Retweet, etc 

Hashtag - Hashtag is denoted or begin with hash sign (#) and it's use to track any trending topic or tweet on twitter, even some influential personalities uses to brand their brand name for  people to follow their page activities. For example COSTAATT Digital Marketing & Communication (MKTG 290) twitter hashtag is #MKTG290 which I think it's monitor by our Lecturer K. Mc Gowan-Santana (@kms_1980). When I need to research on twitter I always check hashtags for easy access. You too can try it out though!


Follow - Follow button is just an at-sign or address sign (@) that's attached to any twitter username so people can search and follow the user on twitter. most twitter users or tweeps does type "ff" in a tweet which means follow the user. You can ff me @Mo__Fuwa and surely I'll ff back 😋

Threads - Thread was introduced by twitter in December 12, 2017 which around the same time as it expanded character limit from 140 to 280, this is due to most users complaining about the limit of characters or words per tweet, so twitter introduce thread so users can join their tweet together if the characters will be more than the limit per tweet.

I will like to conclude my writeup now because I don't want to bore you with too much reading, incase you wish to read further about Mention, Likes, Retweet and many more twitter tools, Just Google it... and boom you're in the known.

So I will like to say my twitter reflection so far I'm using it is that I can simply express my thoughts to the general public by Just Tweet It... and it's that simple as ABC!
